Clean Air Month (entire month of May)
Since 1998, San Benito, Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties have promoted Clean Air Month. This regional campaign encourages commuters to try alternatives such as carpooling, vanpooling, bicycling, riding the bus, walking, and teleworking.

Bike Week (May 9-15, 2011) and Bike to Work Day (May 12th)

San Benito County's got sole! Exercise your competitive spirit! The business with the highest percentage of employees walking to work on October 5th will win a free lunch for participating employees! Walk to School Day
Wear green, go green! San Benito County Rideshare invites all students to participate in Walk to School Day as a means to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and promote healthy living. The school with the highest percentage of student participation a lunchtime of physical activities sponsored by the YMCA of San Benito County! Rideshare Month (October 2011)
Rideshare Month is an annual promotion to heighten awareness about the benefits of using transportation alternatives like carpools, vanpools, transit, bicycles, walking, and teleworking. Rideshare Month is a joint effort between Monterey County's Commute Alternatives and San Benito County Rideshare.
