Clean Air Month (entire month of May)
Since 1998, San Benito, Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties have promoted Clean Air Month. This regional campaign encourages commuters to try alternatives such as carpooling, vanpooling, bicycling, riding the bus, walking, and teleworking.

Bike Week (May 10-16, 2010) and Bike to Work Day (May 13th)
Bike to Work Day, Bike to School Day and the Bike to Church Day are all part of Bike Week, held every year in mid May. For more information about Bike Week in San Benito County, Monterey County and Santa Cruz County, visit the link above. 

Rideshare Week (October 2010)
Rideshare Week is an annual promotion to heighten awareness about the benefits of using transportation alternatives like carpools, vanpools, transit, bicycles, walking, and teleworking. Rideshare Week is a joint effort between Monterey County's Commute Alternatives and San Benito County Rideshare. Rideshare Week is held the first week of October.
